Here is a full view of the finished quilt. This is a "generous queen" size... made to drape over the sides and bottom of a Queen size bed, nearly to the floor.

Log Cabin Spiral
The block assembly is a tip-of-the-hat to a traditional Log Cabin quilt block, but modernized, and on a huge scale! Starting with a red center block (as is traditional for log cabin blocks) additional "strips" of single or multiple blocks are added to each side, rotating outward in a spiral pattern until it "scatters" out at the end. I had the idea of a spiral galaxy in mind when I laid this out.
